Hon. Habib Hassan, Deputy Chairman of Akko Local Government Area and Vice Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Gombe State, has called on Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, describing him as the best candidate among those seeking the nation’s highest political office.
Hassan said President Tinubu deserved a second term to consolidate the achievements of his administration and complete the policies and development projects initiated since assuming office.
He identified road infrastructure, the student loan scheme, agricultural development and other infrastructural projects as some of the major areas in which the Tinubu administration had made significant progress.
The ALGON vice chairman made the call while speaking with journalists at the inauguration of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu/APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).
He expressed confidence that the inauguration would pave the way for the commencement of campaign activities in support of the President’s re-election, urging Nigerians to give the administration more time to deliver on its promises.
According to him, the country stands to benefit from continuity, particularly as the Federal Government continues to implement policies and projects aimed at improving the economy and strengthening national infrastructure.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the best candidate among all the candidates. I call on Nigerians to come out and vote for him in 2027 for a second term because he needs to complete what he has started,” Hassan said.
He maintained that the President had recorded considerable achievements across several sectors, urging Nigerians to look beyond the immediate challenges facing the country and consider the administration’s ongoing development initiatives.
Hassan particularly commended the Federal Government’s investments in road construction, describing the scale of road projects undertaken by the Tinubu administration as remarkable.
He cited the proposed Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, alongside other road projects across the country, as examples of the administration’s commitment to expanding transportation infrastructure and improving connectivity.
“The number of roads being undertaken by this administration is amazing. If you look at the roads that President Tinubu has embarked upon, you will appreciate the scale of the projects. Nobody has done that in the way we are seeing it,” he said.

The local government official also highlighted the student loan scheme as an important intervention designed to improve access to higher education and ease the financial burden on students and their families.
He added that the administration’s attention to agriculture and other critical sectors demonstrated its commitment to addressing the country’s development needs.
According to him, the combination of infrastructure development, educational support and agricultural initiatives provides a basis for Nigerians to assess the administration’s performance and consider the importance of continuity.
Hassan, however, acknowledged that Nigerians were facing challenges and appealed to citizens to exercise patience as the government continued to implement its policies.
He expressed optimism that the country would experience further improvements if the administration were given another four years to consolidate its ongoing programmes.
“I believe the next four years will be better, by the grace of God. I call on Nigerians to have patience and allow President Tinubu to finish what he has started,” he said.
He further urged Nigerians to complement the government’s efforts with prayers for the country, stressing that national development required both purposeful leadership and the collective support of citizens.
“We need to put this country in prayer. While the President is doing what he can physically through policies and development projects, we must also continue to pray for Nigeria,” Hassan added.
The ALGON vice chairman reiterated his confidence in the President’s record, arguing that the scale of ongoing road construction and other development projects provided reasons for Nigerians to consider supporting his second-term ambition.
He said the administration should be given the opportunity to complete its ongoing projects and build on the foundations it had laid in its first term.
The inauguration of the Tinubu/APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council is expected to strengthen mobilisation efforts among party members, political stakeholders and support groups ahead of the 2027 general election.
The council is also expected to provide a platform for coordinating campaign activities, communicating the administration’s achievements and engaging Nigerians on the President’s re-election agenda.
Hassan’s endorsement adds to calls by political stakeholders and supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for continuity in the leadership of the country.
As political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 elections, the debate over the Tinubu administration’s performance, its economic policies and its infrastructure agenda is expected to remain central to discussions among political parties, candidates and the electorate.
Hassan urged Nigerians to remain hopeful about the country’s future and support efforts aimed at sustaining development, expressing the belief that another four years under Tinubu would provide an opportunity to consolidate the administration’s achievements and pursue further progress.
