Habila Adamu, Chim Nku, in a colourful ceremony that brought together political leaders, traditional rulers, government officials, community leaders and well-wishers from across Nasarawa State and beyond.
The anniversary celebration, which was marked with pomp and pageantry, provided an opportunity for the people of the chiefdom to reflect on the monarch’s seven years of traditional leadership and his contributions to peace, unity, reconciliation and community development.
The occasion was graced by the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, whose presence underscored the importance attached to the traditional institution and its role in promoting peaceful coexistence and development at the grassroots.
Also in attendance was the APC flag bearer for the House of Representatives, Nasarawa North Federal Constituency, Hon. Tony Bala Shammah (TBS), alongside other distinguished personalities, traditional rulers, political leaders, community stakeholders, friends and well-wishers.
The gathering offered the people of Chim Nku Chiefdom an opportunity to celebrate not only the monarch’s milestone but also the values of unity, peace, cultural identity and service which have continued to define his reign.
Since ascending the throne seven years ago, Amb. Habila Adamu has, according to community members and stakeholders, continued to provide traditional leadership aimed at strengthening unity among his subjects and promoting peaceful relations within the chiefdom and neighbouring communities.

Chieftaincy Titles for Distinguished Contributors
One of the major highlights of the celebration was the conferment of chieftaincy titles on distinguished personalities who have contributed to the peace, unity, growth and development of the chiefdom.
The conferment was seen as a recognition of individuals whose contributions and commitment to the welfare of the community have made positive impacts.
The traditional institution, through the recognition of such individuals, also reinforced the importance of community service, responsible leadership and collective efforts in advancing the interests of the people.
The event further demonstrated the continuing relevance of traditional institutions in mobilising communities, preserving cultural values and fostering peaceful coexistence.
Traditional Institution and Community Development
The celebration also highlighted the broader role of traditional rulers in contemporary Nigerian society.
Beyond their cultural responsibilities, traditional institutions remain important partners in peacebuilding, conflict resolution, community mobilisation and the promotion of government development initiatives at the grassroots.
For Chim Nku Chiefdom, the seven-year anniversary represented a milestone in the journey of the traditional institution under Amb. Habila Adamu, while providing an avenue for stakeholders to reaffirm their commitment to peace, unity and development.
