Alhaji Abdulazeez Onimisi Isa has called for greater unity, collaboration and collective action among the people of Kwararafa, saying that coming together across diverse backgrounds remains essential to achieving meaningful development.
Onimisi Isa made the call while speaking at the Kwararafa Development Forum, held under the theme, “The Splendour of the Confederacy: Ancient Truth and the New Dawn.”
He described the gathering as a special and timely initiative capable of providing a platform for people from different backgrounds to come together, discuss issues affecting their communities and work towards a common future.
According to him, the diversity of the people should not be viewed as a source of division but rather as an opportunity to build stronger relationships, promote understanding and pursue shared developmental objectives.
“This is a special gathering. Let us celebrate our diversity,” he said, stressing the importance of unity and cooperation among the people.
He described the forum as a welcome development, particularly at a time when communities and leaders need to work together to address developmental challenges and create opportunities for their people.
“I am very proud to be here because what we need is development,” Onimisi Isa said.
He expressed optimism that the idea behind the gathering would strengthen relationships among the people and encourage them to work collectively towards the advancement of their communities.
Onimisi Isa noted that sustainable development could not be achieved through individual efforts alone, emphasising the need for stakeholders to unite, share ideas and pursue common interests.
He further expressed confidence that continued interaction and collaboration among the people would help to move the Kwararafa region forward, particularly by drawing on its historical heritage while embracing opportunities for a new era of development.
The Kwararafa Development Forum brought together traditional leaders, community stakeholders and other participants to deliberate on issues surrounding unity, heritage, development and the future of the people.
The theme, “The Splendour of the Confederacy: Ancient Truth and the New Dawn,” reflected the forum’s focus on drawing lessons from the past while exploring pathways towards a more united and prosperous future.
The gathering also provided an opportunity for participants to emphasise the importance of preserving cultural heritage, strengthening relationships across communities and promoting collective responsibility in the pursuit of development.
