A member of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Abubakar Sadiq Adamu, has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) remains the party capable of leading Nigeria towards sustainable development, citing the policies and programmes of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
Adamu, who expressed support for the President’s administration, said the government was making efforts to move the country forward through economic reforms, student loan initiatives, agricultural programmes, road construction and other infrastructure projects.
He made the remarks during the grand rally of the North Central Grassroots Mobilisation Network, hosted by Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, at Lafia Square, Nasarawa State.
The rally attracted political stakeholders and supporters from across the North Central region, while the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, led a delegation of women from the six states of the region to the gathering.
According to Adamu, the policies introduced by the Tinubu administration were intended to address some of the country’s economic and developmental challenges, adding that Nigerians should assess the government’s initiatives and their impact as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum.
He highlighted the student loan scheme as one of the administration’s interventions in the education sector, noting that access to financial support could help eligible students pursue higher education without being constrained solely by their families’ financial circumstances.
Adamu also pointed to the government’s economic reform agenda, agricultural programmes, road networks and infrastructure development as areas he believes demonstrate its commitment to national progress.
He maintained that the APC should be given continued political support to pursue its development agenda, urging Nigerians to consider the party’s policies and programmes ahead of the next general election.
“The APC is the only party that can take Nigeria to the promised land. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing very well to ensure that this country moves forward,” Adamu said.
He argued that the administration’s policies were designed to improve the country’s economic prospects and create opportunities for Nigerians, particularly young people seeking access to education and other essential services.
Adamu further cautioned Nigerians against what he described as attempts by opposition political parties to mislead the electorate, insisting that voters should carefully examine the policies and proposals being presented by political actors ahead of 2027.
He called on supporters of the APC to sustain their mobilisation efforts at the grassroots level, stressing the importance of political participation and public engagement in determining the country’s leadership.
The PCC member also urged Nigerians to evaluate the Tinubu administration’s performance based on its policies, ongoing projects and development priorities as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 elections.
The presence of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who led a delegation of women from the six states of the North Central region, was another major highlight of the rally.
Her participation underscored the importance of women’s involvement in political mobilisation and grassroots engagement ahead of the next general elections.
The North Central region comprises Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger and Plateau states, as well as the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, which has a distinct administrative status.
The gathering provided an opportunity for political supporters and stakeholders to demonstrate their affiliations and discuss the administration’s policies and political objectives ahead of 2027.
Governor Abdullahi Sule’s role as host also placed Nasarawa State at the centre of the regional mobilisation exercise, bringing together supporters of the APC and participants from different parts of the North Central geopolitical zone.
Adamu’s remarks reflect the APC’s broader effort to defend the Tinubu administration’s policy direction and consolidate support ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The administration’s economic reforms, education financing initiatives, agricultural interventions and infrastructure projects are likely to remain important subjects of public discussion as political parties seek to present their records and proposals to Nigerians.
While APC supporters have highlighted these initiatives as evidence of the government’s commitment to national development, the administration’s performance and the effects of its policies on households, businesses and public services remain issues for public scrutiny and political debate.
As the 2027 elections approach, political parties and their supporters are expected to intensify grassroots mobilisation, engage voters and present arguments in support of their preferred candidates and policy programmes.
For Adamu and other supporters of the ruling party, the immediate task is to communicate the administration’s achievements and policy objectives to Nigerians while encouraging continued support for the APC.
He expressed confidence in the party’s ability to sustain its political activities and called on Nigerians to make their choices in the 2027 elections after considering the competing records, policies and promises of the parties seeking their votes.
