Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has declared that the North remains firmly behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid, expressing confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will mobilise massive support to secure a second presidential term for the incumbent in the January 2027 election.
Sani made the declaration in a statement issued on Saturday, October 24, 2026, following the successful flag-off of the APC presidential campaign in Kaduna State, describing the event as a historic gathering that demonstrated the strength of the ruling party, the unity of its leadership and the determination of its supporters to sustain the Tinubu administration.
The governor said Kaduna was honoured to host the campaign flag-off, which brought together governors, party leaders, stakeholders and supporters from different parts of the country to demonstrate their commitment to the APC’s electoral ambition.
He said the massive reception accorded Tinubu, particularly by residents who lined the streets from the airport to the stadium, reflected the people’s confidence in the President’s leadership and their willingness to support the continuation of his administration.
According to Sani, the turnout and enthusiasm displayed by the crowd conveyed a clear message about the relationship between the President and the people, insisting that the bond remained strong.
“It was a profound honour for Kaduna State to host the historic flag-off of the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign, an occasion that affirmed the strength of our party, the cohesion of our leadership and our shared resolve to secure a second term for His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” the governor said.
He noted that the presence of political leaders and party faithful, alongside the large number of residents who turned out to welcome the President, gave the event exceptional significance.
The governor maintained that the reception demonstrated the depth of support for Tinubu across Kaduna and the wider North-West geopolitical zone.
Sani also defended the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, arguing that its impact was becoming evident through investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, transportation and other critical sectors.

He said the interventions were addressing important needs of the people while supporting the aspirations of communities across Kaduna State and the North-West.
According to him, the administration’s investments have contributed to strengthening public confidence and reinforced the argument for continuity beyond the current presidential term.
The governor stressed that the progress recorded so far should not be abandoned, but sustained and consolidated through renewed commitment to policies and programmes aimed at improving the living conditions of Nigerians.
He said the APC’s re-election campaign should therefore be viewed not only as a political exercise but also as an opportunity to build on the foundations laid by the present administration.
Sani, however, acknowledged that continuity in governance comes with responsibilities, emphasising that the next phase must be driven by a stronger commitment to the welfare of citizens.
“We recognise that continuity carries a responsibility: to build upon these foundations with renewed purpose, sustained commitment and an unwavering focus on the wellbeing of our people,” he said.
The governor added that the task ahead required collective effort, stressing that the unity demonstrated during the campaign flag-off must translate into practical action in support of the party’s political objectives and governance agenda.
The Kaduna governor used the occasion to call for unity across the North, declaring that the region was prepared to mobilise its people in support of Tinubu’s bid for another term in office.
He described the campaign flag-off as a demonstration of shared political purpose among APC leaders and supporters, maintaining that the region’s collective resolve would be crucial to the party’s electoral prospects.
“From Kaduna, our message is clear and unequivocal: the North stands firmly with President Tinubu,” Sani declared.
He added that the APC would work towards translating the enthusiasm displayed at the Kaduna event into a decisive electoral victory.
“United in purpose and resolute in conviction, we are prepared to mobilise our people for a decisive victory in January 2027,” he said.
The governor expressed optimism that sustained mobilisation and cooperation among party stakeholders would help secure a renewed mandate for the President.
He also called for continued collaboration among party leaders, elected officials, supporters and other stakeholders, emphasising that unity would be essential to achieving the APC’s objectives in the forthcoming election.
The choice of Kaduna State to host the presidential campaign flag-off underscored the political importance of the North-West to the APC’s nationwide electoral strategy.
The region remains a significant battleground in presidential elections because of its population, electoral strength and influence on national political outcomes.
By declaring the North’s support for Tinubu, Sani positioned Kaduna as an important centre of the party’s mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

His remarks also highlighted the APC leadership’s intention to build its campaign around the continuity of ongoing government programmes, infrastructure development and the promise of further economic and social interventions.
The governor’s statement suggested that the party intends to use the campaign period to reinforce its message about the administration’s achievements while rallying supporters around the prospect of a second term.
However, the effectiveness of the party’s mobilisation efforts will ultimately be tested at the polls, where voters will determine the extent to which campaign promises and claims of public support translate into electoral outcomes.
Reaffirming his support for the President, Sani said the APC remained committed to advancing the promise of a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.
He maintained that the party’s collective responsibility was to sustain the momentum generated by the campaign flag-off and ensure that its political unity translated into a renewed commitment to national development.

“Together, we will work to secure his renewed mandate and advance the promise of a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria,” he said.
The governor’s statement was signed in his capacity as the Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, CON, and dated October 24, 2026.
The Kaduna campaign flag-off marks an important moment in the APC’s preparations for the 2027 general election, with the party seeking to consolidate its political base in the North-West and other parts of the country.
For Sani, the immediate task is to sustain the unity and enthusiasm displayed at the event and translate them into organised grassroots mobilisation ahead of the presidential election scheduled for January 2027.
