Former Nasarawa State Deputy Governor and Director-General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Hon. Silas Ali Agara, has pledged to deploy his experience and political network toward mobilising support groups across the country for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
Agara made the commitment in his acceptance speech following his appointment as Director responsible for overseeing support groups for the 2027 Presidential Campaign Council of President Tinubu.
Expressing gratitude for the confidence reposed in him, Agara described the appointment as both an honour and a serious responsibility, pledging to justify the trust placed in him by the President and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He said the new responsibility would require effective coordination, strategic engagement and stronger collaboration among the numerous support groups working in support of the Tinubu administration.
According to him, support groups remain an important force in grassroots political mobilisation, providing a platform through which citizens can participate actively in the political process and rally around a shared vision.
Agara promised to create an inclusive platform where support groups across the country would work together, close existing gaps and channel their collective strength toward a common objective.
He said his immediate focus would be on harmonising the various groups, strengthening grassroots structures and ensuring that supporters remain effectively connected to the campaign’s broader objectives.
“We did it in 2023, we will do it again in 2027, by the grace of God,” Agara declared, expressing confidence in the ability of the support groups to deliver another strong mobilisation for President Tinubu.
He called on support groups nationwide to see his appointment as an opportunity to deepen unity, cooperation and strategic engagement ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Agara also expressed appreciation to President Tinubu and the APC leadership for the confidence reposed in him, assuring them that he would work diligently with stakeholders to build a formidable and coordinated support-group structure.
He said the collective goal would be to consolidate existing political gains, strengthen the grassroots base and contribute meaningfully to the success of President Tinubu’s 2027 re-election campaign.
