Twenty-two-year-old Queen Uganemi Agbonika Honour, the delegate representing Kogi State, has emerged winner of the Miss Motherland Nigeria 2026 pageant.

Agbonika was crowned at the grand finale of the competition held at the Landmark Grand Junction Luxury Hall, Victoria Island, Lagos, where contestants from different parts of the country competed for the coveted crown.

The new queen is a final-year Law student of Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu State, and is also an actress. Her combination of academic pursuits and interest in entertainment reflects the diverse talents and ambitions represented by contestants at this year’s competition.

As Miss Motherland Nigeria 2026, Agbonika takes on a platform centred on youth empowerment, cultural promotion, creativity and national unity. Her emergence also gives her an opportunity to use the visibility associated with the crown to advance causes and activities connected with young Nigerians.

The first runner-up position went to Queen Barakat Oyegbile Ifeoluwa, who was crowned Miss Motherland Nigeria Tourism. The 18-year-old represented her interests beyond the pageant stage through her academic and entrepreneurial pursuits.

Queen Ifeoluwa is a final-year student of Mass Communication at Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State. Her field of study is closely connected to communication and media, while her entrepreneurial activities have also seen her establish Loveth Collections alongside other business interests.

Her emergence as first runner-up and Miss Motherland Nigeria Tourism gives her a distinct role within the platform, particularly in promoting Nigeria’s tourism potential, cultural heritage and the attractions that exist across the country’s diverse communities.

The second runner-up position was won by Queen Chinaza Akumalola, the delegate representing Anambra State. She was subsequently crowned Miss Motherland Nigeria Culture, placing her among the leading titleholders of the 2026 edition.

Akumalola’s Culture title is particularly connected to the pageant’s emphasis on Nigeria’s indigenous heritage and diversity. Her recognition provides another platform for highlighting the traditions, cultural identity and values that distinguish communities across the country.

The Miss Motherland Nigeria pageant was founded in 2024 as a platform focused on national unity, youth orientation, empowerment, indigenous culture and creativity. The competition seeks to bring together young Nigerian women while providing opportunities for them to showcase their talents and individual identities.

The 2026 edition was organised around the theme of promoting unity and oneness among Nigerians through beauty, culture, creativity and youth empowerment. Contestants were therefore presented not only as beauty queens but also as young women with academic, entrepreneurial, creative and cultural interests.

According to information provided by the organisation, Miss Motherland Nigeria is designed to bring together young women from Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, as well as Nigerians in the diaspora. The platform also promotes cultural exchange and greater appreciation of Nigeria’s diversity.

The organisation lists youth empowerment, cultural promotion, creativity and national orientation among its core objectives, making the competition a platform for young women to gain visibility while contributing to conversations around Nigerian identity and development.

The crowning of Queen Uganemi Agbonika Honour, alongside the recognition of Queen Barakat Oyegbile Ifeoluwa and Queen Chinaza Akumalola, marked the climax of the 2026 competition in Lagos.

With Agbonika taking the overall crown, Ifeoluwa emerging as first runner-up and Miss Motherland Nigeria Tourism, and Akumalola finishing as second runner-up and Miss Motherland Nigeria Culture, the three titleholders will now carry distinct responsibilities under the Miss Motherland Nigeria platform.
